Clear, practical guides for writing, compiling, and sharing LaTeX projects.
Plans and usage
What each plan includes, how AI usage is counted, and what changes when you upgrade or downgrade.
What each plan includes
JointTex has Free, Education, Plus, and Pro plans. Education has Plus benefits at a lower price for verified academic email holders.
How to do it
- Writing, compiling, templates, and realtime collaboration are included in every plan.
- Git access, WebDAV sync, GitHub Sync, external Agents, and citations from your library or past projects need Education, Plus, or Pro.
- Each project can have 2 collaborators on Free, 10 on Education or Plus, and an unlimited number on Pro.
- Pending invitations hold a place until they expire, so a full project may free up on its own.
How AI usage is counted
AI requests are counted per calendar month, and the two counters measure different things.
How to do it
- Chat requests cover the assistant, AI review, and any sub-agent it starts.
- Autocomplete suggestions are counted separately from chat, so heavy inline use does not consume your chat allowance.
- Check your plan, month-to-date usage, and the limit for each counter under Account settings › Usage.
- When a counter is exhausted, those AI features stop until the next month or an upgrade; everything else keeps working.
Upgrade, downgrade, and billing
A change of plan is reversible and never destroys work or access you have already granted.
How to do it
- Upgrade or downgrade from the Usage page, where subscription management lives.
- A downgrade never removes collaborators or deletes credentials.
- Git, WebDAV, GitHub, and Agent connections are paused by a downgrade and work again if you upgrade later.
- Watch the collaborator limit after a downgrade: existing members stay, but new invitations follow the new plan.
