Clear, practical guides for writing, compiling, and sharing LaTeX projects.
Collaborate with others
Share a project, pick the right role, and keep access under control.
Share a project
Everyone you invite edits the same current source, so there is never a newest copy to hunt for.
How to do it
- Open the Share control in the project.
- Create or copy an invitation link and send it only to the people who should have access.
- An email invitation is tied to the address it was sent to, and the account accepting it must have that address verified.
- Resend an invitation that has expired — an expired one cannot be accepted.
Choose the right role
A role is the whole permission model: there is nothing to configure beyond it.
How to do it
- A viewer can read, compile, download, and browse history.
- An editor can also change files, restore versions, and run the AI assistant.
- Only the owner can invite people, change roles, manage the share link, transfer ownership, or move the project to the Trash.
- Give a reviewer the viewer role and let them comment; editing is not required to leave a comment thread.
Keep access under control
Access should be as easy to withdraw as it was to grant, which shapes how the share link works.
How to do it
- A project has one share link at a time, and the role it grants is fixed when the link is created.
- Create a new link to replace the previous one; the old link stops working.
- Revoke the link at any moment when the group that needs it has changed.
- There is no way to leave a project yourself — ask the owner to remove you.
